Dr Wesley A. Vosloo is a specialist general surgeon based at Mediclinic Midstream in Centurion. He obtained his MBBCh degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2016, graduating cum laude. He subsequently completed his specialist surgical training and was awarded both the Fellowship of the College of Surgeons of South Africa (FCS(SA)) and a Master of Medicine in Surgery (MMed (Surg)) in 2024, with the MMed awarded cum laude.
Following specialist training, Dr Vosloo gained additional focused experience in surgical gastroenterology with a focus on minimally invasive surgery before entering private practice. His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, lower gastrointestinal surgery, hernia surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction, colorectal surgery and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. This combination of general surgical training and focused gastroenterology experience allows him to manage a broad range of conditions using modern, minimally invasive techniques where appropriate, with the aim of reducing recovery time and post-operative discomfort for patients.
His practice also manages the wider spectrum of general surgical conditions, including appendicitis, skin and soft-tissue lesions, common breast surgical problems and emergency general and trauma surgical presentations. Patients are seen across the full continuum of care, from initial consultation and diagnostic work-up through to surgery, in-hospital care and post-operative follow-up.
