Referral Process
Conditions Treated
To refer a patient, please send your referral to admin@drwvosloo.co.za.
The practice manages a broad range of general surgical conditions, as per the Conditions Treated list on this website.
Urgent Referrals
For urgent referrals, referring practitioners should contact the practice directly by telephone on 012 652 9491 / 9496.
If the patient is acutely unwell or requires emergency assessment, referral to the appropriate emergency unit may be more suitable.
Required Information
Please include the following with your referral:
- A referral letter or clinical summary
- Relevant imaging/reports
- Recent blood results
- Current medication and allergies
- Relevant medical history
- Medical-aid details, where available
Scope Bookings
Direct gastroscopy/colonoscopy referrals can be considered where clinically appropriate. The practice will confirm the indication, medical history, medication (especially anticoagulants), preparation requirements and authorisation before the procedure.
